September 9, 2026, Duddo Stones Stone Circle

Very beautiful stone circle, of which originally 4 four always stood and a fifth was erected. The weathering of the sandstones makes this stone circle special.

Northumberland’s Stonehenge although at least two stones are missing, the site is on private land but the farmer has allowed a permissive pathway. There is a small lay-by with space for about 5 cars approx 0.25mikes from the circle

Excellent coffee n cakes, friendly people. Sadly the vendors are leaving but say that the people taking it over are nice and will keep it the same for the first year at least, let’s hope it doesn’t change too much.
