We used to call this "the Green Road" though I'm not sure its a 'real' green road .It's been around a long time and before the ByPass was built it connected with a sunken lane further South. My Mum's favourite dog walk , a lovely walk and peaceful.

Anglican Church situated next to the market place in the centre of Malton.

It's worth stopping here to pay respects to those who fell during the 1st World War. There are many such memorials in Britain, of course, and in the bustle of cities and towns, it can be easy to miss them. There is a rather impressive lion sculpture in the memorial area here, too.

It's quite amazing how peaceful this stretch is, given its proximity to Malton, but the track and path here is very peaceful, very green and very lovely. Nice and grassy for much on the way, with pleasant views of the surrounding fields (better in the summer when the vegetation is green).

A pleasant walk within Long Plantation, a long woodland strip in between the fields here; lovely and gentle walk straight out of Malton. The trees help to block out the traffic noise from the nearby Broughton Road and A64.

Some small bike racks in Talbot's yard. Roost coffee open Tuesday to Saturday only. There's also a great bakery and a fantastic ice cream shop, busy on a nice day! If you fancy a fancy cake, there's an award winning patisserie.
