I reached this top from the village of Sabden. A good slog up but well worth the effort for the views. There is a tarmac road leading up to the summit is cycling is more your thing than hiking. The road section has been a popular cycling race for decades.

Classic village pub welcoming muddy paws and boots. Open fire in winter. Good food with fair prices. The week-day lunches offer incredible value for money.

The Nick O Pendle hill climb is a testing climb from the village of Sabden Village up to the moors of Nick O Pendle. (#72 on 100 hill climbs). The climb averages approx 10%, but at the start there are a few sections of 16%.

This was an All Points North 2022 checkpoint. Ski club at the summit (you know you've climbed a brute when: ski club!). Cracking views of Sabden.
