Situated on the Sherrifmuir battlefield, a few miles from Dunblane. The area is part of the Kippendavie estate. There is now an area for parking cars near the monument.

Apparently dating from Roman times this linear walk from Dunblane to Bridge of Allan follows Allan Water for much of the way. Most people use the bus or train to return but it's a nice there and back as the scenery is different on the return. It’s known as the Darn Walk.
