Pyhra belonged to the Wald district court. The gallows stood on the court hill. Minor punishments were punished in the pillory. When the executioner came from Wald, he tied his horse to one of the rings attached to house number 4 (Tersch House, next to Stockinger Bakery) and then did his work in the pillory. When quarrelsome women argued, they were beaten in the pillory; for other crimes, the heavy stone was carried.
