The climb is via wooden ladders with rungs. You should be very sure-footed and not afraid of heights. Unfortunately, the right handrail of the ladder to the second platform is no longer secure (March 2024). There are picnic tables below the tower. And the hill, which H. C. Andersen also visited, also offers all non-climbers a beautiful view of the landscape.

The tower stands on a hill, so you have a wonderful panoramic view of the area. However, the ascent is not without its dangers: instead of stairs, there are ladders with narrow rungs.
