The sculpture park, which is absolutely worth seeing, is located right on the access road to Blokhus. You drive right past it and don't even have to go in; there is enough to see outside for free. If you do want to pay admission and see more inside, you can embark on a fairytale journey that takes you past "From the Ice Age to the Present" and where a diverse realm of flora and fauna awaits you in the 20,000 m2 sculpture park. The Blokhus Sculpture Park certainly offers Denmark's most beautiful and largest sculpture exhibition with works of art made from such diverse materials as sand, wood, stone, granite, concrete, metal and bronze. The park is divided into cozy sensory gardens, beautiful plantings, seas of flowers and offers entertaining activities, especially for children. Every year, a framework for a new theme is chosen in collaboration with some of the world's leading artists. https://www.visitnordvestkysten.de/nordvestkysten/planen/skulpturparken-blokhus-gdk1078211

On the way to the sea in Blokhus you will come across a beautiful building made of red brick with a wheat-yellow, graceful thatched roof and a dark green gate with two crossing Danish flags painted on it. This is Blokhus' lifeboat station. Or at least an authentic reconstruction of the old lifeboat station, which, like Blokhus' sea mark, suffered a tragic fate at the hands of the Germans in 1944. Jammerbugten has always been a dangerous waterway that has claimed many victims over time. The high waves and strong wind can lead many a sailor astray, and in the mid-19th century the number of stranded ships was enormous. That is why a lifeboat station was built in Blokhus in 1852, where 12 boatmen and 4 reserve men were stationed to rescue shipwrecked people. In total, the rescuers brought 118 shipwrecked people to shore, tirelessly risking their own lives in the process. In 1944, the German occupying forces removed the original rescue station because it was in the line of fire of one of their cannons. Half a century later, in 2009, it was reconstructed just a few hundred meters from the original location, giving Blokhus back an important part of its identity and history. In the beautiful building, you can delve into dramatic stories from Blokhus' past and gain an insight into a fateful chapter in the city's history. https://www.feriepartner.de/blokhus/urlaub-daenemark/das-historische-blokhus/

Blokhus Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Europe, stretching for miles, with the finest white sand and high, wind-protecting dunes. You can drive along the beach from Rødhus in the south to Løkken in the north and buy freshly caught fish right there on the beach almost every day. Dogs on leashes are also welcome on the beach year-round. There are also good kitesurfing and windsurfing opportunities here. https://www.visitjammerbugten.de/jammerbugten/reiseplanung/blokhus-strand-gdk597039

The Blokhus cannon was originally cast in England in the late 18th century. It was found as flotsam on the beach at Blokhus in the early 19th century. It was during the English War and it probably came from one of the many British warships that were shipwrecked in Jammer Bay. For a time the cannon was used to fire salutes to merchant ships - partly to welcome them, but also to show them the way to the beach. To prevent the Germans from stealing the Blokhus cannon during the war and taking it home with them, it was buried in the dunes, where it spent many years. Today it is back in town and forms an important part of Blokhus' historical identity. In summer you can see and hear it being fired on the beach at sunset. In winter you can admire the beautiful cannon in the entrance area of Blokhuset on the market. https://www.feriepartner.de/blokhus/urlaub-daenemark/das-historical-blokhus/
