After World War II, it was rebuilt and developed, producing many types of weapons, including AK and Beryl rifles, which since the 1990s have been the basic equipment of Polish soldiers. By 2025, over 160,000 pieces of the weapon were delivered, constantly improving the design thanks to user feedback, which led to the creation of the A1, A2 variants and the proposed A3 version. In the 18th century, the street was part of the Lublin route that led through Lublin to Ruthenia. It connected a part of the royal city with the Lublin suburb and a village near the city called Dzierzków. There was a magnificent monastery and the Bernardine church at the Lublin route. Many taverns and inns were built next to it. In the nineteenth century, the road was incorporated into the city and the name was changed to Lubelska Street.
