That kind of “casual naming” for places is actually pretty interesting — I’ve seen similar things where locals give buildings completely different meanings than their official purpose. It makes navigation and exploration feel a bit more personal and confusing at the same time. I had a similar thought when browsing different platforms and comparing how they present structure and naming conventions. For example, on https://casinorolldorado.de/ the layout is very straightforward, but even there the way sections are labeled can influence how quickly you understand what’s what. It’s funny how context changes perception — whether it’s an old factory building called a “casino” or a modern site interface, clarity really shapes the experience.

It's a piece of history, but it requires a lot of time and caution when exploring. It's worth preparing in advance.

A place with great historical potential. Secured palace ruins, orangery, large park complex with rare trees and small architecture.

The ruins of the palace in Zatonie. The external and internal walls have been preserved. Only the roof and ceilings are missing. The ruins are tidy and the rooms are described. In front of the palace there is a fountain with a reconstruction of the Boy with a Swan sculpture, and next to it in the orangery there is a restaurant. The whole is surrounded by a very large park. It is a very nicely developed place, definitely worth recommending.

An openwork gazebo built on an artificially placed mound. A nice view of the main axis of the park with the palace at its end.

Artificially built mounds in landscape parks enriched the terrain, made it more attractive and created viewpoints. This role is also played by the mound in the Zatoński park. There is a spiral path leading to its top. The culmination of the hill is a wooden gazebo built on a polygon plan, with a superstructure in the form of a lantern. It was a place of meetings and rest called the Rose Temple or Rose Gazebo. From here you can admire the longest viewing axis in the park, which closes the view of the palace. At the foot of the mound there is an artificial cave, built of field stone. It was supposed to add charm and mystery to this place. In the past, you could go down the stone stairs from the gazebo to a small terrace above the grotto. A dozen or so meters away was the smallest of the three park fountains. The basin had the shape of a kidney, and above it there was a sculpture of a Calydonian boar (currently placed at Mały Staw). It is a copy of an ancient sculpture, the original of which can be admired in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The whole composition was once complemented by flower beds made of blue glass. The park around the ruins is always worth a stop. Note: The restaurant is closed on Mondays!

The Casino (name accepted locally) is a building at the main gate of the factory. Nearby are several warehouses and ruins of administrative buildings. The "casino" had a double function in the combination. There was a canteen and a factory headquarters. The reliefs are still well preserved today: they show silhouettes of men with flags. The lintel of the main entrance is covered with a relief depicting the stylized silhouette of a beaver surrounded by fertile oak branches. None of these ornaments are complete today, and the unique azure windows that lit the staircase have been destroyed. The purpose of this building is not documented. Several repeated reports state that the headquarters and offices were located there, as well as a military casino, a rich library and a cinema. Text of the information boards
