Lake Africa, or the "Łuska C" pit. Its current name comes from the reservoir's shape, which resembles the African continent. It was created by filling the open-pit excavation of the post-war "Przyjaźń Narodów – Szyb Babina" mine with rainwater and partially underground water. The lake covers over 20 hectares, and its maximum depth is 24 meters. A massive observation tower and several terraces were built on its shore for observation.

This post-mining reservoir has clear water and an interesting emerald color. In the past (in the 1920s) clay was mined here. Check the information board here to learn more. An interesting place and a good viewpoint!
