This trail is commonly used to get to hiking destinations like Mackenzie Pond, Haystack Peak and Mackenzie Mountain. In the winter it is a cross country ski trail. Jackrabbit trail is named after Herman aka “Jack Rabbit” Johannsen. He was a well known skiing pioneer both in the Adirondack mountains and Canada.
