Neat big lake, the trail is a little rooty, it'll wake you up if you get too busy staring off into the distance.

This is a lovely spot to stop for a picnic or just to soak up the view. There's a beach in summer and skating in winter, plus fabulous fall colours. If you have children with you, there's a playground too. It's often quite quiet, despite being in the heart of Maple Grove.

A path runs along the edge of Rice Lake which is a lovely way to take in the surroundings. It's right next to the highway but the noise is very minimal, especially in the summer when the trees are in full leaf.
