Rice Lake is a nice body of water in Danada Forest Preserve. The main trail in the park runs along the banks of the water.

Green Tangerine Pond, part of the Herrick Marsh, is a small, fishable pond and one of a few scenic ponds scattered around Herrick Lake Forest Preserve.

This pretty lake is great for bird watching and nature walks. It is great place to stop off on your bike too, just to enjoy the ambience of the whole place.

Herrick Lake is a 22-acre reservoir in the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve. The lake is most popular for fishing, and there is a path that circles around the waters, hugging the shore the entire time.
