June 21, 2026, Springside Park Trail

Following the Napanee River through the heart of Springside Park, this easy riverside trail connects several of the park's main attractions, including Napanee Falls, the fish hatchery, viewing platforms, and historic railway bridge. Boardwalk sections and well-maintained paths make it accessible for a wide range of visitors, while the river remains a constant companion throughout the walk.

Towering above the Napanee River, this historic railway bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Springside Park. Built with a combination of stone arch and steel girder spans, it reflects an era when railways were the primary link between communities across Ontario. Trains still cross the bridge today, and watching one pass overhead adds a sense of scale to the river and falls below.

Napanee Falls is the centrepiece of Springside Park, where the Napanee River spills over a broad limestone ledge that once powered the town's early mills and industries. While not especially tall, the falls stretch across much of the river, creating an impressive curtain of water during periods of higher flow. Boardwalks and viewing areas provide excellent vantage points, making this one of the most photographed spots in Greater Napanee and a natural focal point of the park.
