Easy hikes and walks around Sierra Sur

A culinary experience is offered by the restaurant El Quejigo del Carbón, located on a hill, which is known not only for its excellent cuisine but also for the breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Roca Toñi is a very special place. It is a private area with several cave dwellings artfully carved out of the stone, as well as numerous sculptures carved into the stone or out of the stone. As this area is privately owned, you have to make an appointment in advance or be lucky enough to run into Toñi and Manuel by chance and be invited by them to take a look. It is definitely worth it.

The old town of Alcalá la Real has been declared a historical monument. The highlight of the city is the imposing La Mota fortress. It towers over the collection of houses of Arabic origin in Alcalá la Real. For more than 150 years, the castle marked the border between the Moorish kingdom of Granada and Castile.
