A nice gorge. I did the hike with a 5 year old, but there are several areas that can be dangerous. If you don't feel confident crossing the bridges, it's better to cross the Ialomița river on foot. On most of the path, there are rocks, which can be challenging for a begginer, but nonetheless fun. At the end of the gorge you can find several places to grab something to eat or a old drink. You will likely have to come back on the same way, but we found it even easier coming back.

Here there is also an opportunity to shelter from rain or sun.

Just before the main commercial area of the lake, you reach a family-run food shed with cozy tables to eat the fresh and amazing food they serve at an affordable price. Easy recommend, I hope more people show up around here!

Unfortunately, this circular route is not recommended at all. Yes, the first hour is great, right in the forest along the water. The next 2 hours are well. Is a gravel road. And the last 30 minutes are terrible, right on the road and the way Romanians drive it is really not entirely safe. Definitely not with children.

I was there during the weekend and met a lot of people. I think it will be better coming there during the week and early in the morning.
