A beautiful rock formation, some say prettier than the Krakow Gate. Worth checking out for yourself.

Zamkowe Skały is a castle site with few remains of walls. In the 14th century, this castle belonged to the same family as the nearby Korzkiew Castle. The rock is very steep on all sides, just like the medieval castle builders loved. The rock is located outside the Kluczwoda Valley Nature Reserve and climbing is supposedly allowed. The climbing wall faces west and is up to 20 m high. On the narrow, southern side of the castle rock there is a steep climb with some neglected stairs, which you can climb up if you have alpine experience. I do not recommend it because the plateau of the castle rock has become almost completely overgrown with bushes in recent years.

Update: I visited this wonderful cave again today. I was the only visitor at 3 a.m. and the tour was still going on, which I thought was very nice. The entrance fee is 30 zł (as of May 2024)

A narrow forest road leads through the valley, it can be muddy after rainfall ;)

It's worth checking opening hours before arriving, as the cave is closed to visitors during some months. Entries are open every hour. https://www.jaskiniawierzchowska.pl/
