Het Turfven is a natural pond in the Duinengordel (Oudsbergen) that was formed by sand drifts and is fed exclusively by rainwater. The pond is part of a group of four ponds in the Ophovenderheide and owes its name to the peat in the soil, which was excavated in the past and used as turf. In addition, the area around Het Turfven is archaeologically valuable due to finds from the Stone Age and is located directly on the area's hiking and cycling network. Next to a B&B, this fulling mill also houses a dance school with flamenco dancing. Typical, in Belgium, and also not Spanish :-)
