The "Stone of Winterbach" (yes, that's its official name) is a registered natural monument (ND-7133-375) and gives its name to the road "Am Felsen" that runs past it.

It was inaugurated by Wilhelm II on August 13, 1913. The 50 hunters lined up in a line are said to have shat their pants. This was the result of a spicy venison goulash they had previously enjoyed, which was probably a bit too much for their taste. The L 230 road runs past through the beautiful Soonwald forest, but is in a very poor condition in places between Kallweiler Hof and the Kreershäuschen village exit. It's also very busy!
