This isn't the sort of road you'd take a vehicle on, nowadays - but it's great for nontechnical mountain biking, and this high point gives you nice views over the surrounding hills.

July 24, 2023, Ace Trail

The trail begins behind Ace Hardware (customer parking only) and leads to the trails for Pedro Point Headlands. Due to the fragile ecosystem in this area, there are signs of habitat restoration which is in progress, so be sure to stay on the marked trails.

The very straight trail to Martini Farm branches off here in a sharp switchback turn of Old San Pedro Road. The view opens up all the way down to the coast.

Martini Creek has cut a significant canyon, which this trail bridge crosses at a considerable height. It also serves the ranch located on the north side that continues sustainable management on the protected reserve.
