Lake Thunderbird State Park has a load of recreational options that everybody can get into. The trails at the park are well-marked and well-kept. There is quite a bit of fee-based camping available in the park, and multiple parking areas make it easy to find a parking spot.

The Clear Bay Trails are multiuse trails that wind their way to and from the water. There are a few well-marked trail intersections and a few viewpoints on different trails.
