Tastes differ and that's a good thing, but as a Kempten resident I have struck the Illerweg from Hegge via Martinszell to Stein from my list because it leads a lot through the forest and the mountain view is limited. I don't need to go to the beautiful Allgäu for routes through the forest. The route to Martinszell is one of my favorite routes.

There are people who use the path as an everyday cycle path. Every day, in all weather. Those who only cycle in the best weather will certainly not have any major problems with the path. If you want a traffic turnaround here, you also need the appropriate paths for it, suitable for everyday use, suitable for all weather, and we don't have them.

As a Kempten resident, I've never had problems with the surface and only ride from Martinszell because that's when there's some mountain view. One can also complain like bububaer although there's no reason, because country paths are muddy worldwide when it rains and the Illerweg is still rideable. During the week, I visit Cafe Kohlhund in Immenstadt with its dreamy chocolate.

As a Kempten resident, I must admit that I rarely ride the Iller cycle path, and when I do, only from Martinszell because only then is there some mountain view. I have never had problems with the surface. During the week, I visit the Cafe Kohlhund in Immenstadt with simple food. I then take the fantastic chocolate home with me. Unfortunately, I have no idea how it survives several days.
