Walk a very short distance through the woods in the direction of the reservoir, and you will find a nice spot where you are almost at level with the water. The Monksville Reservoir exists since 1987 and was created by damming the Wanaque River.

When you walk Manaticut Point Trail, you will pass by Lake Sonoma. The lake is beautifully surrounded by green trees and serves as a great photo motif. Thanks to the dense vegetation, you sometimes have to fight through the bushes to get the perfect view.
