A worthwhile detour on any hike—head up the viewing tower for fantastic views over the Wetlands Centre and across Tralee Bay. On site you'll find bird hides, pedal boats, and an ecology and wildlife centre, plus a cafe.

We were impressed with all the swimmers here. It was cold for us despite long pants and jacket. Irish people seem to have a different sensitivity to cold than we do 🤣

Looking out across Tralee Bay, Fenit beach is sheltered and often calm, making it the perfect place for a swim. Lifeguards are on duty June to August. There are public toilets, picnic benches and a cafe just across the way, all set against views of the Dingle Peninsula.
