The Miranda d'Espiells is a watchtower with Noucentist elements built in 1927. After the Civil War, the building fell into disuse and gradually deteriorated. In 2004, the City Council's Environment Department and the Sant Sadurní Forest Defense Group, with the collaboration of Juvé i Camps and the Mina i Aigües de la Salut Community, rehabilitated the Miranda to give it a social and environmental function, as it currently houses a recreation area and is used as a watchtower for the prevention and extinction of forest fires. It is said that the Miranda d'Espiells, beyond being a peaceful viewpoint, came to some famous artists from the Paral·lel of Barcelona, such as Bella Dorita, to enjoy it in secret. The tower, mysterious and remote, became a refuge for clandestine loves and confessions. Sources: Sant Sadurní d'Anoia Town Council and Penedès Tourism websites.

Saint CECILIA, to whom this chapel was dedicated, is, among the great circle of saints, primarily responsible - if one can put it so casually at this point - for good sound, because she is the patron saint of church music. Many religious choirs are named after her. The patron saint's day, i.e. her memorial day in the calendar of saints, is on November 22nd.

The Benedictine abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat [ˈsantə məˈɾi.a ðə munsəˈrat] is located at an altitude of 721 meters in the mountain range of the same name, about 40 km northwest of Barcelona in the extreme south of the Bages comarca. Today, about 80 monks live there according to the Regula Benedicti. In the monastery, the 12th-century Marian depiction "Our Lady of Montserrat", popularly known as La Moreneta ("The Brown One"), is venerated by numerous pilgrims. As an important center of Catalan culture, Montserrat also has high symbolic significance beyond the Catholic Church. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kloster_Montserrat
