I was there last time in November 2024. Litter was everywhere – on the shoulder of the road, on the trees, in the bushes. There were also a few illegal garbage dumps just next to the road and two packs of aggressive stray dogs. So unfortunately, this beautiful road is no longer beautiful. It’s actually a rather sad and grim place now. Don't know maybe they cleaned it up already, but it was like that in autumn 2024

They say that this lake is one of the cleanest in Šumadija. It is an artificial lake, which was created by the construction of a dam in 1988 to protect nearby houses and the railway from frequent floods. A great location for a break from cycling. You can reach it by bike from the direction of Avala through the settlement of Ripanj and the part called Kolonija, built for the needs of the former Minel factory. On the way to Lipovica, a "candy bar" of an ascent awaits you :)

The monument is located near the house where Stepa was born, in the highest part of Kumodraž, at 300 meters above sea level, and from here there is a beautiful view of the whole of Belgrade. The surroundings of the monument are nicely landscaped, so it can be a good location for a break while walking or cycling. Duke Stepa Stepanović took part in Balkan wars and World War I.

Circular residential complex, actually architecturally well thought out, now externally run down, but inhabited.

Many years ago, there was a small number of Sava lovers that leased from the City peace of shore to put pontoon house or build elevated small shacks. They didn't have water or electricity. They were spaced properly not to intrude one to another. These days it is complete madness, they are on top of each other, all have utilities and whole experience of wilderness living is gone. They are dumping sewer and garbage in Sava river which is used as a main source of drinking water for Belgrade. City politicians are avoiding to deal with this problem until something bad happens. Most of them have houses on Sava so they are attentionally delaying resolution of this. Whole thing looks interesting to the strangers but not to the concerned local activists who are trying to stop ecology disaster.

It is very nice around 10 o'clock even on a sunny day. There is a lot of shade and not a lot of traffic.

It is a good way to cross the river, but the asphalth on the cycling path is not so good. If you would like to go towards Topčider, I would recommend using the car lane as it gets you right there (I never tried, but I have seen other cyclists). Cycling path is not very accessible on the Ada side because you have to make a lot of turns if you want to go elsewhere.
