The Vallon des Partias is located in the Hautes Alpes, about ten kilometers from Briançon, near the village of Combes and its alpine chalets. This site extends between 1,600 m and 2,900 m altitude (Cime de la Condamine). This wide altitudinal gradient as well as a great variety of geological substrate allow the Parthias to host a very rich floral and faunal heritage. It seduces with the harmony of the mountainous landscapes composed of peaks, very irregular in the south and rounded in the north, large mountain pastures, numerous cliffs of different orientations and colors, scree, wetlands and a beautiful larch. The Réserve naturelle des Partias was born from a citizen mobilization to prevent certain developments in the valley and thus present its ecological wealth, this reserve continues to arouse the interest of the inhabitants of the territory.

After a long climb, you reach the Col de la Pisse. From there, view of Pelvoux (3,946 meters), L'Eychauda (2,659 meters), Condamine (2,940 meters) and Rocher Bouchard (2,900 meters). The descent is technical, so watch out for your ankles.

Maximum point reached by both the road (in summer) and the chairlift (in winter) In all seasons, with good weather, a 360° spectacle guaranteed on the splendid peaks of the Dauphiné! the climb remains manageable up to approximately 100 m. below the arrival square of the lifts, here you arrive in double figures and you also need to push the bike a little, but the show pays off in a big way! for the descent you can choose the road or a route (S1-S2) which starts just below and which roughly follows the same itinerary. The road also has some challenging sections (uneven surfaces, potholes and steep sections) but overall it remains an S1. I haven't been able to evaluate the other tracks that start on the side of the dirt road, but I think there is something for all tastes... the only way is to try them!
