Mountaineering in Parco Adda Nord offers challenging routes within a varied landscape, despite the river's generally low-lying course. The region features sections where the Adda River carves narrow valleys with steep sides, revealing unique "Ceppo dell'Adda" rock formations. These areas, particularly towards the pre-Alpine zones within the park's broader reach, provide significant elevation changes and rugged terrain suitable for mountaineering. The routes often traverse rocky paths and offer expansive views over the surrounding valleys and lakes.

In addition to confirming what has already been described, I advise against walking this trail if it is wet or with dogs that would not be able to handle the vertical section equipped with chains.

A beautiful refuge overlooking Lake Como at the foot of the Corni di Canzo, managed by always kind and efficient volunteers, excellent cuisine.

A very challenging trail, as indicated by the signage. It starts steep and ends even steeper. The beginning is a simple singletrack trail that climbs up a gully that becomes increasingly narrow and steep. There are many sections on scree, and the final section is secured with chains and is quite exposed.
