The Baggelhuizen recreational lake is located on the west side of Assen and boasts an impressive 125 hectares! The lake features a large beach, a play island, and a jetty with a slide and cable car. The water is approximately 2.5 meters deep. The grounds also include a kiosk, restrooms, a shower, and sports fields (volleyball court and soccer field). A designated BBQ/picnic area is located near the swimming area. It is well-maintained and offers ample parking.
