The church belonged to the Protestant community of Lindestreek in Steggerda. It was built in 1922. The cemetery behind it has been in use since 1921. The church has not been used for religious services since 2005 and was put up for sale in 2020. After a thorough renovation and a new section behind the church, the lifelong home was opened in February 2024.
