The listed building complex known today as Ulmenhof in the Berlin district of Wilhelmshagen was intended to fulfill social functions from the very beginning of its planning. It was founded in 1894 as the "Sanatorium of the North German Wood Trade Cooperative". From this period, you can still find the listed administrative building, bed pavilions, the operating theater and the hospital courtyard. After the First World War, the facility took on a new function. In 1918, orphaned children from Berlin were taken in and cared for, and the name "Ulmenhof" appeared for the first time. After 1945, the site became part of the diaconal work. Institutions that now belong to the Stephanus Foundation settled here. The unique, historically significant ensemble now houses several houses of the Stephanus Foundation. Surrounded by a park-like green area, elderly people in need of care and people with disabilities find a home here.

All the lakes are very beautiful. From Seedinsee to Dämererritzsee, then Flakesee, through the lock, and then to the crystal-clear Kslksee.

A beautiful sight at any time of day. In summer with numerous boats, in winter with birds and ducks. It is always worth taking a little detour to see the Dämmeritzsee.
