The Conow Church was built in 1826 by the later senior building officer and Grand Ducal Court Architect Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel (1796-1869), a student of Karl Friedrich Schinkel and at the same time the most important architect in the former Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. This is the first church built by him. In the open porch of the church, a cast steel bell hangs freely above the entrance door. The only bell ornament is a Prussian eagle.

The town church of St. Jacobi in Prenzlau dates from the middle of the 13th century. Several additions were made up to the 16th century, including the north chapel and the southern vestibule. In 1757 the upper floor of the tower was rebuilt and given a baroque wooden spire. In 1945 the church building was badly damaged by fire and the baroque spire was lost. https://www.denkmalschutz.de/denkmal/st-jacobi-prenzlau.html
