The Grosse Wentowsee is generally very shallow and therefore very murky all year round. It therefore heats up faster in summer than the surrounding clay lakes. Water quality is good, but in the reeds from the end of July there is occasionally a risk of cercariae, so dry off well after swimming.

This Henschel steam locomotive was delivered to the Stumm Brothers Ironworks in Neunkirchen in 1936. The cars presumably originate from the Jarotschin District Railway (Poland). Within the Neunkirchen Ironworks (near Saarbrücken), there used to be a narrow-gauge railway network with a gauge of 660 mm. Almost nothing of it remains. The 660 mm track was used for transporting slag to the dump, for the internal transport of steel blocks, and for other transport purposes. The locomotive then stood in a playground in Eppstein-Bremtahl/Ts. from 1970 to 1988. It was purchased by the Nidderau Field and Narrow-gauge Railway Association (near Frankfurt/Main) in 1988 and finally sold to Mr. Erk of Ilmenau in 2000. He placed the locomotive and the cars on permanent loan to the Ziegeleipark in September 2005. An AB project by INOHennigsdorf overhauled the locomotive and cars for exhibition purposes over a period of 12 months. Today, you are welcome to "step inside" and even have a picnic in the old cars. Facts: Manufacturer: Henschel steam locomotive Manufacturer No.: 23062 Year of construction: 1936 Type: Cn2t coupler Gauge: 660 mm 1st car: Covered baggage car with non-original bogies 2nd-4th cars: Open freight cars

The barge "Concordia" has been anchored in the museum harbor of the Mildenberg brickworks park since November. It is a replica of a traditional watercraft that was used in the Zehdenick region as a towboat or sailing ship, particularly for transporting bricks and other goods. The barge was built from 1998 to 2000 at the Malz shipyard in Oranienburg under scientific advice from the Berlin Museum of Technology.
