September 7, 2025, Bistro w Sienkiewiczówce

This place has been called "Bistro w Sienkiewiczówka" since its inception. You can buy a variety of drinks, soups, and simple main courses, usually cakes and sweets, ice cream, coffee, and tea, as well as several bottled beers. There are plenty of comfortable tables inside and out, a restroom, and it's tidy and welcoming. The owners are direct descendants of Henryk Sienkiewicz, whose historic residence is located right next door—a small palace with a museum you can visit. Next to the bistro, the owners also have a stud farm, which usually grazes in a visible paddock. This bistro hosts a variety of interesting guests; I once even witnessed guests arriving by helicopter. Seriously! :-) A nature trail begins next to the stud farm, leading through a beautiful and wild gorge to Mount Siniewska, from where you can descend 500 meters to a viewing platform with a sweeping view of the surrounding area. The ponds in the Browary district in Końskie are now a popular place for walks and relaxation. The renovated reservoirs, fed by clean streams, are surrounded by well-kept greenery, and the area has gained new recreational functions. You can walk here, fish, light a bonfire or take part in cultural events, such as KGW tournaments or Kupala Night. There are paved paths around them. It is worth remembering that swimming in the ponds is not allowed.

Interesting old well and monument. A few benches and a fountain. Terrible concrete.

The result of the Marian apparition at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries was the construction of a small chapel at the site of the miracle and the placement of the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary with Child inside it. In 1763, Countess Izabela Małachowska of the Humieniecka family founded a church, which in 1919 became a parish church. In 1971, Bishop Piotr Gołębiowski of the Sandomierz Diocese entrusted the care of the sanctuary to the Pallottine priests.

Here you cross the border of the Świętokrzyski National Park, primarily, as you can clearly see from what is written here, towards Bukowa Góra, which is a few minutes away. Good information about the trails. So get going, because the national park is waiting!
