I think the parking fee of currently 100 crowns (as of October 29th, 2022) can be saved by everyone. Parking on site. There is free parking at Hotel Zivkov. But beware: do not use the hotel car park. Before or after visiting the castle, use one of the hiking trails, the signposting is not always great, but it is almost impossible to walk along the main road if you stay on the side of the castle. There is a stall selling souvenirs and snacks. (Wikipedia says: Zvíkov (German: Klingenberg) is a castle above the Orlík reservoir at the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers in the Písek District. It stands on a ledge about a kilometer north of the village of Zvíkovské Podhradí at an altitude of 370 m. The castle is managed by the National Monuments Institute and is open to the public during visiting hours. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1963 and was included in the list of national cultural monuments in 1978.

The original building, which dates back to the late 13th and early 14th centuries, completely changed its appearance after several reconstructions, so that today it presents most of the stylistic elements from the Baroque period. Thanks to its high and prominent tower, the Dean's Church of St. Matěje is a characteristic landmark of the town of Bechyně. The church tower is open to the public during the season. From the balcony you have a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding area.

Since May 2007, the City Museum's collections have been open to visitors. There is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of the town of Bechyně from the Stone Age to the present day. Various seasonal exhibitions can also be seen.

Entrance area of the castle, if you want to continue to the Renaissance castle, you have to pay. After Bechyně came to King Přemysl Ottokar II in 1268, he built a castle first mentioned in 1283. For more on the castle, see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Bechyn%C4%9B
