Here the positive signs for cycle routes predominate, but in Austria unfortunately the bans prevail. If a ban is displayed here, then that is also more understandable (here, for example, private access)

Cycling in the Czech Republic is legally much more relaxed than in Austria - vacationing with friends.

In Dolní Příbrání (Untersinnetschlag) cycle route no. 34 meets cycle route no. 1193. Cycle route 34 goes from "Vyšší Brod" (Hohenfurth) in the west via "Dolní Dvořiště" (Unterhaid) past here to "Nové Hrady" (Gratzen) to "České Velenice" (Gmünd train station) in the east. Cycle route 1193 from "Pohorská Ves" via "Buchers" ends here. Attention those who are unfamiliar with the area --> 3 signs are currently mounted upside down and point in the wrong direction. (I omitted the photos of the incorrectly mounted signs here.) See the description on the photos from my tour on 08/12/2023. If you look at the area in "Google Street View" you can see the old signs that are still correct. Here is the tour: 2023.08.12. The bridge over the Kabelský potok should be taken with caution. Sliding is more than announced !!! How rotten the support beams are can only be guessed at. The photos are from 08/12/2023. Shortly thereafter, the Kabelský potok flows into the Maltsch, which is the border river here. Here is my tour on 06/24/2012. 2012.06.24. KARLSTIFT - BUCHERS (Pohoří na Šumavě) - forest circuit no. 1 https://www.komoot.de/tour/962004528 The bridge was once again on our round today: 2023.08.12. this place is no more - about 500 people lived here until 1945, in the 50s the last ones were expelled and the area became a restricted zone of the Iron Curtain. The church withstood a blast and from then on was only used as an observation tower. Interesting detail: the border guards and the residents and children of Hammern cavorted here and there to bathe in the Maltsch. Since this river is neutral territory as long as you don't step on the other bank, there were often encounters of a special kind here.

Beautiful path .... on the Czech side you can see the wet meadows of the Maltsch with typical auvegitation. In the past - when the "Iron Curtain" was still here, I would not have dared to go that far to the border. I explored the way on the tour: https://www.komoot.de/tour/971143291 INFO pottery trail: https://info.bml.gv.at/im-fokus/bildung/lehrpfade/oberoesterreich/Toepferweg.html
