The red passage near Tversted is currently (early June 2026) not passable due to fallen trees. A pity!

Hello@Tobi.BU. You can find the spectacular attraction on the Knøsen. There is also a highlight article "Stanley Kubrick's Monolith". Honestly, however, I fear that this is alternative facts. The story naturally comes from the "old fisherman at the harbor" who mends his nets and spins his yarn there, puffing on his pipe. But the pillar on the Knøsen is already striking in its unrecognizable function. And of course, one could advertise it on the net. Maybe the younger generation would like to organize a great, viral Tiktok dance with and around the Monolith, that would certainly significantly increase credibility with the younger generation (and perhaps strengthen their perseverance for the intro of the film😊). That then falls under cultural promotion😊. Have fun on your trip. Also spectacular is the lost place of the old brickworks, although I don't have any alternative folds for that yet. But you can also spin a good yarn in a brickworks...

While planning a return visit to the Jammerbucht, I looked at some of my existing highlights. I came across your tip @Wolf Beyenburg. Can you tell me which summit in the region was the inspiration for Stanley Kubrick's 2001 - A Space Odyssey? I'm looking for new destinations... ;-)

The above conversation with @Pulp-Fiction can only be understood by those familiar with the original title of the highlight: "When records fall at sunset, that's here [DK 🇩🇰]." It was arbitrarily changed by Komoot in July 2025....

The large lake is very pretty, the others (towards the beach) are unfortunately overgrown (July '25).
