Langvatnet is a real highlight of any walk between Innerdalshytta and Bårdsgarden. The trail runs along its north bank and is bouldery in places. To the east of the lake, expect superb views towards Tovatna and Storlidalen

The ascent from Innerdalen towards Langvatnet shadows the course of the rushing Renndøla. There are a number of pretty cascades, some beautiful woodland and the views are stunning. There's more to come once you reach Langvatnet too, an awesome spot among the mountains.

The path behind DNT Innerdalshytta provides ever-changing views of the iconic Innerdalstårnet. From this angle, the striking pyramid seen from the cabin is revealed as a pinnacle at the end of a long ridge leading to Tårnfjell and then Tåga. It's a majestic sight across the river.
