At the spot below by the road, the very steep ascent begins on a path up to the Marienfels cliff next to the barbecue hut and the Lümmelbank (65 meters of altitude gain over 265 meters of distance). On the way, at a fork directly after a right turn, choose the right path upwards. The upper part of the ascent is secured by a (stable as of 06.06.2026) wooden railing at the precipice. Those who prefer to skip this steep ascent can take the wide path a bit further to the right along the road past the cemetery, then turn right into the forest and relatively far up, turn right again to the barbecue hut.

The quarry stone bridge was built in the second half of the 19th century. From the bridge there is a very beautiful view of the church, which was built on a rock and dominates the village as a whole.

From here you have a beautiful view of the Romanesque church built on a rock in the 12th century and renovated in 2019, which is the oldest church in Nassau. Inside, 23 images of Christ and a winged altar with a peasant Madonna can be seen on the gallery parapet.

The three-arch quarry stone bridge over the Mühlbach together with the Evangelical Church standing on a small hill offers a unique ensemble and a popular photo motif.
