Lütetsburg Castle is a moated castle, which was rebuilt in its current form in the 1960s after a devastating fire: with thick walls, a deep moat, and two towers. On two pillars next to the access bridge, the heraldic animal – a stone lion – watches over the castle residents. The current brick building was constructed on the foundations of the 16th-century predecessor building, destroyed by a major fire in 1956, under the architect Hans Heinrich von Oppeln: a four-wing complex with two towers, simple and monumental at the same time.

🚲✨ The Kanalweg in Bargebur is one of the most idyllic connecting lines between the core city of Norder and the vast park landscape of Lütetsburg. You will find this picturesque path, often referred to as Verschönerungsweg, directly on the banks of the Bargeburschloot (an old Fehnkanal), which meanders gently through the district.

🚲✨ The bridge on Brückstraße in Norden, often known as Mühlenbrücke, is an important connecting point that links the historic city center with the quieter outskirts. You will find this structure directly on Brückstraße, where it spans the small canal (the Norder Tief) and paves the way towards the striking Norder windmills.
