Path through the forest from Wizardbeach to Redfrogbeach, if at all only with plenty of time and not before dark! We almost got lost there because the route wasn't obvious. (March 2023)

This hotel is one of the most unusual I've seen so far. It is just a few kilometers from Bocas del Toro, actually in the middle of the jungle, in Big Creek, next to Via Playa Bluff. The owner bought a piece of jungle, cleared it and created a beautiful garden with buildings and a swimming pool. The hosts are called José (from Seville) and Maira (not Maria! - from Venezuela), are very friendly and take great care of their guests. In particular, they are also happy to explain what plants and animals there are here. Although I was only there for two days, I was able to marvel at a sloth, a capuchin monkey, hummingbirds and a small gecko from relatively close. I couldn't remember the names of all the beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. I was glad I hadn't taken a hotel in town...
