The section from the Prohner Stausee to the road to Klausdorf has now been given a smooth asphalt surface. Rides great, nice and wide. Not quite as romantic anymore 😘

The oldest Stralsund town book contains an entry from 1280, in which Nicolaus Siluishere is mentioned as probably the first settler of the village. In 1389, Berthold von Rethem is named as the owner of Klausdorf, in 1495 Edgar Garlepow, and in 1520 the Stralsund councilmen Heinrich Sonnenberg and Jürgen Buchow. His great-granddaughter Barbara, widow of Johann Hagemeister, was the owner of the Klausdorf farmstead in 1695. The so-called Rampenhof, another property in Klausdorf, belonged to the monastery of St. Annen and Brigitten in Stralsund in 1628. After Barbara Hagemeister also acquired this in 1701, Klausdorf remained entirely in the possession of the Hagemeister family until its expropriation in 1945. The manor house, built around 1900 in a neo-baroque style, was replaced in the 1960s by a prefabricated building, the "House of the Farmer". The former orangery, a building from the 19th century, has been renovated in recent years. The inspector's house, a brick building with the date 1890 on the gable, has also been preserved.
