For a serene experience in Ffos-y-ffin, consider visiting during the autumn months of September and October. During this period, the surrounding landscapes are adorned with vibrant fall foliage, offering picturesque views across Cardigan Bay. The cooler temperatures, averaging between 7°C and 15°C, provide comfortable conditions for exploring the Ceredigion Coast Path and observing local wildlife, such as red kites and marine life along the shore. Additionally, this time of year sees fewer tourists, allowing for a more tranquil visit. [1] https://highlandlochpress.com/the-best-time-to-visit-the-united-kingdom/

Enjoy this row of colourful Georgian houses as you enter the town of Aberaeron. You'll find colourful houses and cottages around the town's harbour area too. Legend has it that the pastel shades of West Wales’ harbours are a legacy of the fishermen forefathers of these small communities. Fishermen would paint their terrace homes around the dock in varying colours so they could recognise their own as they returned from the sea.

River bank walk along the Aeron which flows close to the restored mansion at Llanerchaeron before entering the town of Aberaeron where it passes into Cardigan Bay. Despite the relatively small size of the river, it sustains a population of salmon and brown trout. Dylan Thomas lived a few miles away at Talsarn and called the Aeron valley "the most precious place in the world."

House and estate are very interesting! The garden is certainly worth seeing in every season. All the people were super friendly and helpful when needed. The café across the street offers delicious savory and sweet food to freshen up. You can sit inside or outside. Some tables outside can also be used for picnics and from here you can start walks or hikes. Children can play wonderfully on the adjacent river. Is just beautiful here!
