One of many viewpoints along the route that runs from Saltergate Car Park along Old Wife's Way, passing Newgate Brow and Crosscliff Brow on the way to Jerry Noddle. An easy and worthwhile route to follow. Great quality track and quieter than the middle of Dalby Forest, allowing access to Langdale Forest if you are planning on covering some extra distance.

A very obvious place to stop; you won't need me to tell you that, as you will see the lake from the Dalby Forest Drive road, and you will want to immediately make a stop and look at it! Staindale Lake has a car park area, so it's easy to leave your bike here and have a look at the beautiful waters of the lake and spot some of the wildlife around here.

The western end of Adderstone's Field is good for picnic, and could be a quieter area of the field than the larger one over the fence to the east; it's further away from the car park, and thus might offer a more peaceful experience.

Adderstone's Field is a large open field, perfect for a picnic (picnic tables are provided) as well as for a spot of game of football, badminton or any other family game.

There is a beautiful view to the north here. The wide track where the signposts are is part of the long-distance Tabular Hills Walk from just north of Scarborough to Helmsley.

A lovely little lake, with a useful car park right next to it. Right in the middle of Dalby Forest, of course, with all its tracks to run on, and Bridestones Nature Reserve is close by as well.

North of Yondhead Rigg, on the track junction, there is a well-placed wide bench if you would like a rest or a green place to eat your picnic.
