Large rocks anda terrible ride unless you’re on an MTB, this isn’t fun if you really ride gravel and aren’t on a Leccy bike. Be warned, maybe someone has decided to add shale and rocks to make it un rideable.

Built along the natural lie of the land it offers 41 miles of lock free cruising - the longest stretch in the country. As the canal is naturally level, it also lends itself to gentle walking and cycling as well as canoeing and other outdoor activities. And we've loads of trails and routes to help you take advantage of this wellbeing resource on your doorstep.
