The church dates from the 16th century. Just across the road from the church is the village hall which is one of the few places you can park in the village. There is a honesty box for the car park fee with a suggested payment of £3.00. There are very few places so as stated above get their early.

A superb find right on the banks of the River Kent on the site of the Old K Village. Great coffee and cakes and cyclist friendly. Disabled toilets and outside seating, great climbing photography on the walls taken by one of the owners

Either starting point or a half way point for the Garburn Pass, good opportunity to get snacks in Ings. The garage was the only thing open when I last did this ride but I believe there is a cafe opening in the bike shop.

Located in the small village of Ings, there is a petrol station with a shop. Also the Lakeland Motorhome Centre. There are cycleways in this location, these keep you off the main road

The main A591 road is quite busy, the road is wide enough for traffic coming from behind to move a couple of metres away from the bike. The verge on the left of the white line is ok to keep on. Views of the surrounding hills are good to see
