A great bike and hiking trail runs along here amidst beautiful nature. Nowadays, the natural stone grave is located very idyllically in the forest area. The information sign no longer exists and the mayor's hut is also very neglected. A shame, a beautiful spot here. Vandalism was committed at the hut 😑. If you go along the narrow path to the right of the hut, you will reach the natural stone grave.

A great excursion area, a free parking lot is available and right at the parking lot there is also a bus stop. Different hiking trails can be enjoyed here depending on how many kilometers you want to be out. The nature here is wonderfully beautiful to look at 💚. A nature trail has been laid out and in 2025 the facility was renovated. The paths can also be ridden by bike. Directly at the lake, pushing is better.

Fords in the Sunder Forest: Traces of the carriage ride to church. They are still there: washed-out ruts in the forest floor, so-called fords. These mark the old church path from Hagenah to Oldendorf, which ran along this route. It was probably used when the parish of Oldendorf was founded, so for over 1000 years. These traces of the old church path were only rediscovered here in the Sunder Forest a few years ago. When it rains, they are clearly visible as water-filled furrows.
