This is a very pleasant hike with a beautiful view of Abtenau. The incline is gentle, even manageable with a walker.

The Pflegerbrunnen fountain is located right next to the striking building of the market town hall. Slightly salty and highly mineralized water comes out of the fountain, which is not very good (or even horrible...), but is still called Abtenauer Heilwasser: https://abtenau-info.at/rund-ums-jahr/abtenauer-heilwasser/

Alpine hut with a very friendly restaurant. The hut has been renovated inside in recent years and offers two cozy guest rooms. There are plenty of tables and benches outside and a climbing wall, slide and playhouse for children. Mother and daughter serve the guests of the hut and conjure up a very good Kaiserschmarrn. The hut is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

After a short hike from the Waldalm along the Schwarzbach, you reach a fork in the road: to the left it goes to a viewing plateau, to the right it goes to just before the Dachserfall. There the water of the Schwarzbach comes out of three openings in the rock massif.

Two paths lead to the Dachserfall, on the left a gravel path slightly uphill to a platform. From here there is a beautiful view of the waterfall from above. Back down again, a path on the right goes over a small bridge to the 2nd viewing point. There are benches there to rest. Immediately after this, the hiking trail leads to the Tricklfall. At first a little steeper over steps, then a gentle up and down to the Tricklfall. You can hear it from far away. On the way down there is a beautiful view of the last farms west of the Arlstein. On the way to the Dachserfall there is a beautiful Kneipp facility and on the way back (depending on how you do the loop) there is the Arlerhof local history museum. It houses several buildings and is closed until mid-June 2024.https://www.museum-abtenau.at . Refreshments: Wandalm, daily from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Closed on Thursdays.
