August 26, 2024, Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Donji Miholjac

The first mentions of the Donjomiholja church of St. Michael dates back to 1057. After the church was built, a settlement gradually developed around it. In later reports, there is information that the church was built by Catholics, old Hungarians. The description of the church states that it had high walls and towers, and was surrounded by a deep moat. Today, the Donjomiholja church is the pride of all the city's residents and a historical and cultural monument of inestimable value.

It is considered one of the best preserved castles in Croatia. The castle was built from 1903 to 1906 for the Hungarian Mailáth family, along with the earlier ground-floor baroque Prandau castle, with which it forms a unique whole. The architect of the castle is István Möller. Next to the castle is a landscaped park.
