Zalew Żółtańce is a popular recreational area in the vicinity of Chełm, located on a small retention reservoir with an area of almost 47 ha and an average depth of approx. 2 m. Located in the Uherka River valley, the reservoir has a designated swimming area on the eastern shore, a jetty and the possibility of renting water equipment, which is conducive to active recreation. On-site there is a volleyball court, catering facilities and prepared places for a barbecue and bonfire. It is a good destination for cyclists who want to combine riding with relaxation by the water.

Mikołaj Rej obtained the location privilege to establish the town of Rejowiec from King Sigismund I the Old in 1547. In front of the building of the Commune Office there is a monument to the founder of the town. On the pedestal there is a bust of Rej in noble attire. The monument was funded by grateful residents of Rejowiec on the 500th anniversary of his birth Mikołaj Rej of Nagłowice of the Oksza coat of arms (born 1505, died 1569) - Polish Renaissance poet and prose writer, translator, as well as politician and evangelical theologian, mayor of the office, member of the Sejm of the First Republic of Poland.
